"A beautiful traditional old house in acres of land. Good sized rooms (but if using the rooms on the mezzanine be aware that access is via the other bedrooms). Some things a little tired compensated by some beautiful old pieces. It is remote - there was a decent supermarket approx 15 mins walk but not much else - again, fine for us as we just wanted to relax but don't expect to be able to walk to nightlife! A great break and we loved it"

"PROS- great location, wonderful views of valley and Pisa; definitely rustic Italian; comfortable beds and pillows; excellent appliances; great outdoor eating area and pool area; great spot to do day trips all around Lucca, coast and Florence; lovely greenery all around the property; our host did us a solid by doing a light grocery shop for us as we had been travelling for 22 hours straight! sweet little veggie garden you are allowed to share in and the town of Lucca is fabulous! "The room was a *non-smoking* room, but smelled like cigarette smoke, among other bad smells. The bed smelled like urine. The sheets were sticky. It was loud. I lasted less than an hour before getting online and booking a different hotel for the evening. There was mold on the walls. The hotel is not as advertised at all. I hope that travelocity pulls it off their listings. I hope no one else books it thinking they are booking a decent place and getting an absolute dump. I have stayed in nicer...
