"This is how you set up and run a hostel. If you want to be in the center of downtown San Diego you cannot do better than this! I’m 70 years old and loved staying here. Inside the hostel it was super quiet and very safe. The staff is awesome and loves to interact with their guests and are very helpful. Most hostels have bunk beds- not here. I honestly can’t believe how clean and nice everything is. This place is a real gem. You cannot find any better value for lodging in San Diego!"

"The other reviews already talk about the bed bugs. I thought to myself “it surely was just isolated incidents” and “it can’t be that bad”. But it really is, the bed bug bites were bit annoying, but what’s even more annoying is that now after my trip I’ll have to spend hours to properly disinfect and treat all my belongings in order to not spread the pest to my own home. All I can do is hope that that’ll be enough. Don’t repeat my mistake and stay away from this place."

"I always enjoy going to Coronado the stay was nice and quiet. The only complaint I would have is that breakfast was a little challenging to get this time around due to the food not being replenished in time. Staff were nice and friendly. I enjoyed talking with the housekeeping staff, they always seem to be in good spirits. Thanks for all your service. "
