Téva Eco Retreat - Hostel

2.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (73)
"We stayed at Teva for 3 nights near the end of our trip and overall enjoyed the stay. The Good - the rooms are clean but very basic. Ours was one with a ceiling fan and aircon (AC essential in this location i think). The pool area was nice, and there were various places to sit in the grounds. You could also use the kitchen area if needed. We saw monkeys and iguanas in the grounds. There were trails in the ground too but it was too wet for us to explore these. The not so Good - it was the most...

Hostel Manuel Antonio

2.0 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (32)
"This establishment should not be able to operate. The condition of the place is very bad: there was no water, the toilet is broken, the shower wires were exposed, there was a whole in the wall next to the bed and all of this happens at the best room they have available, normally at 40 USD per night. This place has not been properly maintained in years. I left the place as soon as I could."

"So I got in at 10PM on a Friday. Dropped my bags and wanted to go hit a bar. Alexis gave me a place called Santos in the same area of Escazu. While taking an uber home, I left my phone in the uber upon getting back to the Hostel. Alexis was so helpful the next day. He made sure to get in contact with the Uber driver as well as the bar owner. The uber driver did not find my Phone at first. I was literally on my way to my next destination a mile away in a taxi Alexis arranged and Alexis called...
