"I stayed at Selina/Socialtel San Jose for about a week until the 28th of January 2025 and my Spirit Animal for the stay was a Sloth because I did mostly nothing in the morning, then took a rest in the afternoon. "We stayed at Teva for 3 nights near the end of our trip and overall enjoyed the stay. The Good - the rooms are clean but very basic. Ours was one with a ceiling fan and aircon (AC essential in this location i think). The pool area was nice, and there were various places to sit in the grounds. You could also use the kitchen area if needed. We saw monkeys and iguanas in the grounds. There were trails in the ground too but it was too wet for us to explore these. "Ideal place to spend the night, before an early flight or arriving on a late flight. The place is relatively inexpensive and it was clean. I would stay there again. However, it is a shared bathroom, so some travelers may not like that."

"Great hostel. Far away from downtown. But downtown isnt that nice. Can uber there. They have tour pamphlet there if you like. Have a QR cide with local things to do around. Enjoy the quietness too."

"The view from the balcony is amazing. The dorm bed was comfortable, toilet facilities were great. Kitchen was good as well although could use new kitchen utensils/pots/pans as what was available were quite destroyed/melted. Overall great dorm!"
