"Extremely friendly staff. Very welcoming and dog friendly. The building was a beautifully preserved 15 century pub. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Meals were amazing, we had dinner and breakfast there. I would highly recommend."

"Location for Stansted Airport good, in country though. Nice room, bed & shower but dinner is only up to 8:30pm and no breakfast available for early flights as it’s only served from 8am and needed to leave by 7:15. They did offer a takeaway breakfast but it was poor (they don’t normally offer it) and needs to be organised properly for it to be beneficial to the customer."

"Very old historic building with lots of character. Room large, bed comfy, coffee machine and biscuits but no bottled water. Good shower, good breakfast included cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi rubbish, TV not great but was cool that it was hidden in the panelled wall. Short walk to paid parking. Overall a positive stay, would stay again. "

"The goods: excellent location,the farewell receptionist polite,reasonably priced The bads: couldn’t find initially any member of staff to check me in and when I did she was very impolite,rooms facing the road despite secondary double glazing are noisy and woke up early, the shower needs a makeover as it’s very tired and old looking."
