"Lovely hotel - doesn't look that impressive from the approach road, but lovely inside - the dining room is particularly nice with large windows looking over the valley. Excellent location as very close to Gullfoss - around 5 minutes drive. Staff were lovely at reception and in the restaurant. Food - both dinner and breakfast - were very good, with a good selection at breakfast. Room was nice - twin beds as requested, clean and warm and with a nice view over the valley. I stupidly left my Kindle behind and have since been liaising with the hotel who are going to mail it back to me - very kind! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. "

"Beautiful property"

"Loved our stay at this beautiful property. Spent 4 nights there and were lucky enough to see the auroras! Shoutout to the front desk for calling us right as they were revving up. The hotel is right off the main road, in a pretty secluded area. Don't expect to find mini marts or a gas station nearby. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with very comfy beds. Breakfast is plentiful and included in your stay. The only restaurant on site is expensive (but to be fair, so is the rest of Iceland) and the waiters were not friendly or even attentive. Everyone else in the hotel was super nice and we had a great time! Special mention to the bartender who always had a smile on his face, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy!!! (I'm sorry I don't remember your name! but you made me the most delicious cucumber mojitos!!!) Would love to come back!"

"Excellent stay for a couple. Hot tub was amazing. Got to see the northern light from the hot tub. Great cottage, clean and fully stocked with all necessary essential. Only issue which many have commented on was the shower which leak waters underneath. Easy fix with sealant. Overall amazing stay and highly recommended. "
