The stay overall was as required for a safe & clean night’s stay, however, I would caution that this is for the bare necessities only and no bells & whistles.
There is definitely a need for improvement in terms of space (i.e. little to no room for luggage, toiletries in the bathroom, and even using the toilet is quite restricted).
From a food perspective, breakfast, unlike all of my other stays in Iceland, is not included in the room costs. It is an additional 2400 ISK (24 CAD) for a cold breakfast, which, upon the opening of the restaurant at 730AM, there were not even any staff to greet or seat guests. We saw several other groups leave because of that, as well.
But if you’re just looking for a place to sleep & shower, it is at the very least a step up from a campground.
