"Most of the guests are Chinese.Everything there is written in Chinese. It did not feel like I sas in Thailand, it felt like I was visting China. That said, the room was nice though a bit dated. They demanded a 1000 BHT cash deposit even though I booked it will a credit card. The had me wait while they checked the room before the returnes the cash to me at checkout… I found that part off putting. The lobby chandeliers wew beutiful."

"The staff were helpful and amazingly friendly to us even though we did not speak the language.food was very variable and tasty with many specific thai recipes. The 8th floor swimming pool was a big attraction and we often spent time in the afternoons at the hotel cafe on 1st floor. Lastly although Bangkok is a very busy city the situation of the Amaranta hotel is ideal for city access/amenities "

"While this hotel is affordable, it’s severely outdated and unkept. The hallways are very dark, the carpets are extremely dirty and stained, the room smelled musty or moldy at all times, there was moldy spots all over the shower, our sheets had holes in them and ants were all over the room. The location is convenient to the train which was a plus, but overall we would rather walk further to stay somewhere nicer and cleaner. The room was also very loud as it is right by a busy street which made it...
