"Really enjoyed our stay – it was very comfortable and felt almost like home. The owners were welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful, even preparing a breakfast for our early departure. The location was great, just a short walk to the town, beach, and supermarket. Bonus: Penelope the cat added some feisty character!"

"We reserved a room at this location, however we were switched to ZenZaru same ownership. At KiKaru the grounds were not maintained and the pool was unusable/not clean. When we arrived at ZenZaru the location was very inconvenient. You had to go down approximately 100 steps to get to the rooms. There is no reception area, no rest area/lounge. The room was recently finished but not complete. The bathroom/shower was large and comfortable, however the extreme hot water was not adjustable and poor...

"Keith & Joe were amazing hosts; communication with them was very easy, helped with local recos, cooked breakfast for us every day. Their property is amazing, absolute five-star jungle experience just a little more personal... "My friend and I stayed here on this gorgeous mountaintop gorgeous location for 4 nights. The owners, Lori & Bobby were fantastic hosts welcoming us as we arrived and made us feel at home. Once there we upgraded to the main house with the pool and ocean view. Well worth it! You must have 4 wheel drive! As you do for most places in Costa Rica. ;) Thank you for all your information and sharing all the beautiful birds and wildlife with us. "

"Clean modern room, best shower in Costa Rica at this pricepoint. Fast wifi with excellent coverage. No AC, but room is designed for that with large screens just below the ceiling and a big overhead fan. "The rooms are basic, clean, and functional. The air conditioner was barely able to cool the room enough for daytime sleeping probably due to poor seals around the window and door.The shower was cold water only and was missing a shower head so water just poured out of an open pipe....functionally okay. "Jessica the owner was so helpful and amazing customer service. The place is wonderful and infinity pool was great. She also advised us places to visit which were really helpful. Jessica was always there when you need her. Plenty of food for breakfast which is served near the pool and astonishing view over the mountains, valleys , forest and even the sea!!!!!! "After this stay I think boutique hotels will be our new favourites. The hotel was small, quiet and comfortable. "We had paid for 2 nights in a standard room. Then our plans cha ged and when we asked Expedia to add another night, the standard room was not available. We then booked the extra night for a three bedroom apartment. This meant that after two days, we would be moving rooms. When we were checking in, we requested if we could stay all three days in the same place, and they honored that without charging extra for the three bedroom apartment. This was such a big treat for us as we are a family of four (our children are adults). I would highly recommend the apartment. It had washer/dryer, a full kitchen, and lots of room. We were traveling for 8 days and the last day, we could do laundry. A minimart was next to the location and that made buying fruits, snacks and laundry detergent so easy. If I could give it 50 stars, I would. "
