"The staff far and away are what made our stay a pleasant one. From the reception area, to the concierge, to the Maintenace and cleaning staff to the bar staff, etc. everyone truly brought the Aloha spirit to our overall experience. They were the best! To make this an even better overall experience some simple things would bring an even better vibe, like tiki torches around the perimeter of where the water is (similar to the hotel next door). We have stayed at both and we prefer this one, but little things like that make a big difference for some. Overall, a great bang for the buck and best in the city of Hilo, based on our personal experience. "
