"The property is well located for all activities in Edinburgh. We were greeted with a welcome hamper that was very thoughtful to our needs of a cup of tea and glass of wine and chocolate. The house is well appointed and immaculate. We had a great stay . Thank you"

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. "

"This is the Tophat place for a reason. Great location, great spacious house, great hosts. We had 9 of us there for almost a week; youngest was 17 oldest was 80. The five bedrooms each with on-suite bathrooms were tastefully decorated and well appointed. We all felt the hose offered all that we needed for our large family. "

"Stayed three nights. Most interesting VRBO location - right on the grounds of an arts collective at the site of historic monumental grounds. Saw sunrises and sunsets - 360 degree views of the city. Walking distance to everything -from Waverly Station, Hollyrood Palace, Royal Mile, to the Castle. "

"Fantastic property. 16 of us for a family birthday. Lots of different spaces so we werent on top of each other all the time. The teens really enjoyed the games room. It was also great having all of us round the huge dining table. Location is ideal so we walked in to Galashiels and also in to tweedbank , no need to get in the car. "

"The home and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The home was very clean and well appointed, having everything we needed. Sally, the owner/host is the kindest person who really looked after us. She provided us with contacts for drivers, tour guides, and even a chef. She even made dining reservations for us. I had asked for a recommendation for bakery where I could order a special occasion cake. She gave a couple options, and then picked up my order for me. Her attention to detail is superb and she...

"Our group greatly enjoyed our time in the city townhouse. Plenty of room and well stocked for a wonderful stay. We had an incredible time ringing in the new year together in this beautiful home. "We had a lovely weekend in this stunning property. Prior to our arrival the host enquired about our requirements particularly with reference to parking. He provided detailed and accurate instructions for our arrival and for gaining access which got our stay off to a great start. To have parking for 2 cars is a huge advantage. "If you want to explore Edinburgh this is a really great location. While compact, we were comfortable as a family of 5, and the kitchen was very well stocked, with some lovely personal touches. Station and supermarket both an easy walk. Very nice."

"Overall it was a great stay. The hosts were very personable and very willing to help with ideas of what to see and where to eat. Also, the Hosts were very kind and upon our arrival there was a bottle of wine, 2 apples, 2 bananas, package of bagels and shortbread cookies.
