"Great location and extremely accessible to the whole area. Coupled with the hop-on Hop-off system was great to explore. The Inn was very helpful with relocating to the first floor above the restaurant after the first night. A knee replacement was prohibitive above that. Staff was great! And, breakfast was the best. Akso, best lattes in town."

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"Everything about the house was superb. It was spacious yet cosy and you felt at home as soon as you walked in. The house is well equipped. The beds were very comfortable with cosy duvets and crisp linen. The grounds were peaceful, all topped off by deer in the garden wandering up to the house. There is nothing vaguely critical to say."

It's located on the Royal Mile so you are surrounded by all sorts of shops, restaurants, etc. I felt very safe in this area. So many things to see -- very historic. "
