"We stayed here for a weekend in March with our kids (5 & 8) and had a blast. It's a great spot with lots of land to explore. We found some really cool waterfalls behind the house in the woods. The snow season was over so we missed XC skiing but we definitely will be back. Close to Blackwater Falls park and the town of Davis. "

"The property is very nice. It's apparent a lot of upgrades have been made and more to come. Heck, there's even tissues throughout the house which you don't find many places. The only pick I have is that steps leading down to the house were barely cleared of snow/ice and very difficult and dangerous to negotiate with suitcases. I shoveled them myself the next day."

"House & property described to a tee! Our son is a student athlete at D&E and was unable to leave for spring break so we went to him. It was exactly what we expected. WV experienced all four seasons in one week. It made our stay even better. We walked the river on the warm days, admired the sleet, hail and snow on the others. Enjoyed the hot tub & the heated bathroom floors. Will come back for some kayaking in the summer. Loved it! Ohhhh and the beds are comfy! Thank you!"

We woke up one morning to the snow-covered ground and the moon reflecting off the frozen lake—it was beautiful. "Hickory House is the perfect place for our multigenerational family/friends group to reconnect and enjoy some snow fun. The house is great, with extra kitchen space and a perfect table for meals or game nights. The hot tub is a relaxing treat after a day of skiing. "Hannah provided a wonderful home in the heart of a historic neighborhood in Elkins. The house was clean, offered the necessities, and was furnished and decorated in a unique and comfortable manner. I felt right at home and it was an amazing place to rest after a long work week. I would highly recommend and would stay again. "

"We went hiking in the area, the place was pretty clean, would have liked a few more kitchen pots and pans, utensils, crock pot etc. We cooked every day at the cabin and had to improvise a little and no grill tools available. Loved the cabin and location, that wouldn't deter me from going back, just would have made things easier. Great place overall."
