"When traveling in this area you don’t have many options, either this place, or the hotels in the Mt. Cook village. The location is amazing and an easy walk to the lake for sunset or sunrise. We stayed for 1 night and it was OK. The room was full of flies, the front desk said they don’t bite, which probably is true, but still, the flies were everywhere. I asked for a fan and they don’t have. Due to the flies you cannot open the windows so it was a hot night. I paid almost $200, which for a...

"A little dated facilities. Breakfast very ordinary standard, acceptable, but overblown in other reviews. No atmosphere in the breakfast room. No evening meal opportunity in the hotel, despite description saying there were."

"Lovely job in renovating this old church. Great kitchen and appliances. The bed needs attention, you felt a bit like you were sleeping in a ditch with our bodies sinking in. Overall great though. Thank you. "
