"We had a comfortable 3 night stay in a very clean Studio unit, equipped with a kitchenette that had a fridge, microwave, small oven and a two ring electric hob, toaster, kettle and electric frying pan - ideal for producing simple meals. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided, plus a small bottle of milk on arrival. The ensuite shower provided plenty of hot water at impressive pressure. We had a couple of chairs and a small table. Parking available immediately outside our unit. It was quiet and we slept well. Our host, Andy, was very friendly and gave us useful pointers on the walks/sights in both Fox and Franz Joseph - this helped us get the most out of our time there. His dog Stella was also very friendly. Having SKY TV allowed us to watch the Super Rugby - bonus! We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return."

"You get what you pay for and I couldn't complain as we were a late booking. We had everything we needed, comfortable bed, hot shower and private bathroom. Jesus (spanish manager) did all he could to accomodate us. If you want 5 star and want to pay 4 times the price stay elsewhere but this was very suitable for us, no complaints here 😊"

"Friendly staff, let us check in early, park right outside room, laundry nearby with free detergent, large clean room with fully stocked kitchen. We ate dinner one night at the Hermitage Hotel and preferred this hotel and were glad we didnt pick Hermitage to stay at because this motel felt quieter and more easily accessible. It was the best choice in Mt Cook for us. The only improvement would be that it's a row of motel rooms and some, like ours, had some of the mountain views blocked by other motel rooms. It seemed one row of rooms had unobstructed views of Mt Cook mountains, so I'm not sure how to request one of those rooms, but it would have been an even better stay than our already pretty great stay if i had booked one of those rooms. Highly recommend this motel."
