"When traveling in this area you don’t have many options, either this place, or the hotels in the Mt. Cook village. The location is amazing and an easy walk to the lake for sunset or sunrise. We stayed for 1 night and it was OK. The room was full of flies, the front desk said they don’t bite, which probably is true, but still, the flies were everywhere. "It was in a great spot our chalet was very roomy but getting a bit rundown, the walks in the bush were easy and quite interesting, overall, we had a great stay. The restaurant was pretty good too!"

"We arrived & it was raining. The young lady explained everything & showed us our room & it was on the 3rd floor. So she helped us take our bags upstairs & then gave us complimentary muffins which were warm & delicious after our 5 hour road trip.
