"Excellent place to stay in Aoraki Mt Cook Nat'l Park with beautiful views and plenty of amenities. We appreciated the on site laundry, lounge areas, and the sauna! Dining options are limited in the park (~3 restaurants). Even though they're all good, you may want to plan ahead and bring groceries to take advantage of the communal kitchen area at the hostel. Helpful and friendly staff keep everything clean and tidy. We loved our experience here!"

"Far and away my favorite place I stayed in New Zealand. We arrived after check-in, but they were super accommodating and kind when we called. The rooms were so spacious and nice, I wish we stayed longer. Exactly the place you want to land if you have spent a long day traveling. The breakfast was also delicious, and the folks working there were very kind and helpful when we had questions about the area."

"Friendly staff, let us check in early, park right outside room, laundry nearby with free detergent, large clean room with fully stocked kitchen. We ate dinner one night at the Hermitage Hotel and preferred this hotel and were glad we didnt pick Hermitage to stay at because this motel felt quieter and more easily accessible. "We only stayed a short night. We messaged the property about swapping two separate spaces for one two bedroom with kitchenette and living room. They were extremely responsive via messaging and helpful and generous with our last minute request. The deck was covered and perfect to experience the rainforest in the rain. There is a walk down to a cool beach and if not pouring down rain the sunset would be great. We sincerely appreciated the customer care and support."
