Contacted via WhatsApp. When I arrived, I called the number from WhatsApp, and the door buzzed open remotely. Made my way to the lift, went to the third floor, turned right, the hallway door was unlocked, found my room#3, with the key in the door. Once inside, a note awaited me on the desk, along with a bathroom key, a breakfast voucher at a nearby cafe, and a tourist map. A follow up...

"We booked 2 large and charming king sized bedrooms for the 3 of us (adults), & both rooms had private bathrooms. The baths were updated in space, with plenty of hot water & fabulous water pressure. However (typical to traditional B&B's) they were not ensuite & had no A/C; which would have been welcomed in the unusual June heat. The bedrooms though, were equipped with new model A/C units for the win! Igor welcomed us upon arrival with water and treats and shared a bit of his family history - this...

"Too Soft bed. No second pillow. Bare room with window facing corridor. No parking. Plastic chairs. Had to pay for shuttle. It was like a dive bare necessities hotel. Worst hotel of our six nights in Sicily. Friendly good staff person. Shuttle was on time. "

"The b&b was quite unique, being built above volcanic rock laid down centuries ago and sharing it with an ancient amphitheatre. Our suite was spacious, attractive had vistas featuring the rock and the amphitheatre. There is a room fridge, two wardrobes and two large screen TVs...OK if you speak italian. The shared kitchen area and patio were a bonus. Our host, Anna, was lovely, so helpful and interested in how our visit was progressing. A pleasant change from hotel staying. "
