"I did extensive research on finding a hotel that would suit my needs in Amsterdam. I decided that Catalonia Vondel would fit the bill. I landed around 9:30am and took the airport bus to the hotel. Uber is expensive in Amsterdam and the bus drops you off really close to the hotel. I arrived around 10:30am and was informed that the room wasn’t ready yet because it had to be cleaned. No problem. "We had a really lovely stay at Hotel Alexander. We debated between being really central or a bit further out, and we're so glad we chose this hotel. Staff were great, hotel was clean and in a lovely area, good nearby transport links but also nice to walk. Would absolutely recommend. "

"Hotel was easily reached from Airport by Tram. About a 5 minute walk from 2 tram lines. Reception area is on the 4th floor, serviced by 2 lifts. Breakfast is served here but we did not have it. Room was nice but very small, typical european hotel room. Bathroom was good and clean. Trams are very close, but not so close you hear them! Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area, and a large supermarket within 5 mins walk."
