"We loved this location, a few minutes' walk to the wonderful Makarora river braidplain. The house is unique: rustic and a little run down. Comfortable enough if you aren't expecting luxury. Some things could use a little updating (i.e. floors and bath fittings) but all this is secondary to the stunning landscape. We enjoyed our 10 days exploring the area--be sure to check out The Craypot fish and chippie at the end of the road over Haast Pass and the Wilkin Jet Boat tours."

"We had a fantastic two weeks at Cardrona during Christmas with our extended family. Garry and Kristine were responsive to questions, and had everything setup ready for our arrival. The space is well suited to extended family, and the location allows you to relax from the hustle of Wanaka and Queenstown, while still only a short drive away.
