"A very different experience for a foreigner, and one that I cherished as a student of Buddhism. If you aren’t adventurous, I don’t recommend it, and if you go, please be curious, open, and full of respect. The non-sleeping rooms will be very cold in winter, the food served is the food served, without changes available, there are rules about which slippers to wear where and what can be photographed, etc. If you’re interested in deep travel (versus hedonism), you will be gifted and changed....

"Great service at a good price in an amazing location. Countless dining options nearby and clean facilities around the entire hotel. Only complaint would be the high noise levels at some hours of the night, but that’s because of the location and not something the hotel can control. "

"Had a good one night stay here. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough time to see everything i wanted too, but it turned out to be perfect. You can drop off your luggage before and after you check in which is really nice. Highlights for me were the public bath, and morning ceremony."

"This ryokan was very spacious and was located in the heart of Dotonbori. The staff were very friendly and the property was clean. The halls had a bit of a strange smell, but the room itself was fantastic and had a stunning view of the river."

"First time staying in a Skukubo in Japan. The traditional Japanese ryokan style of the Sojin was great. Including tatami matts and sliding doors. The staff and monk service was very accomodating. They provided extra water when I asked for it, and made my bed while I was having dinner. Expecially the dining experience of the Buddhist monks cooking and serving their meals of Shojin Ryori. These were the best meals I have ever had!"

"This will have to be my most favorite part of my trip to Japan. You will have to intentionally come here for the temple stay. First and foremost, the facility will ONLY ACCEPT CASH payment for the stay. Though my wife and I were not too fond of the shared wash rooms to wash up. I don’t believe the facility has rooms with private wash rooms. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. They offer traditional breakfast and dinner(vegan friendly, though I am not, very delicious!). Wake up...

"Delicious and Beautiful dinners here. A bit of a walk from the train station. They serve you breakfast and dinner at the hotel. It is so much food you should skip lunch in the middle of the day. They also offer soup 9:30-1030. I have not tried it because I start dinners late they keep me full. The place has a very nife onsen which includes an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. "We enjoyed the ryokan very much for the authenticity of old Japan. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Wearing the yutaka at the property was such a thrill for us. The staff were so friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Such a contrast from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Osaka central. And the view from the 5th floor! Breathtaking. Very convenient to be shuttled from the train station. Thank you again. "

"Our stay at hotel Abitare was great! The room was spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The location is minutes away from the train station for easy access to major hubs of Osaka. Dotonburi shopping is about a 15 minute walk. Having a kitchen and washing machine added extra convenience. "

"A well appointed apartment style property with video self check in. There was nothing I found lacking inside the suite - all kitchen and laundry supplies are provided, for example. Property is clean and modern. Cons - the wait for the single elevator can be long at times. The walls appear to be quite thin as well."

"I’ve stayed at several hotels in Rinku Town over the last two years and OMO is definitely the winner by far when it comes to comfort and friendly staff. During my last visit, I noticed that Sayoko san at the front desk was going above and beyond to ensure that everyone’s check in process was smooth. Her attention to detail and excellent customer service truly stood out. I have become a regular and am no longer looking for alternatives when staying in Rinku Town."

"We travelled during new years and everything was closed, I think the hotel should do a better job of understanding what is open for guests. The location was a tad far to walk to the train station which was a negative. The Onsen was outstanding though and the rooms were very comfortable"
