"The hotel itself was nice. I had the steak and frites for supper, and think that it was abit expensive for a small thin steak and very oily fries. The staff was very nice and helpful but the AC was not working in the bedroom and I read on the reviews afterward that this is a common issue."

"Hotel Marena was very centrally located in the Paris 9th Arrondissement. It was a very safe location. The hotel beds were comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only had one slight issue and that was when the front desk girl tried to set us up to overpay for a taxi ride...$45 euros for a 6 minute ride to the train station...NOPE I'm not a dumb American. "Lovely, well located hotel. As with most Paris hotels rooms aren’t huge but our family room was cosy and well set up. We had a view of the Eiffel Tower so we saw the light show at night. The hotel is well located for cafes, shops and restaurants and really good for buses, metro and walking to local sights (Sacre Couer). Staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast is very good. Free water cooler in reception where you can get chilled still or fizzy water. One minor point about location is due to some ‘special adult stores’ not too far away, but not a big issue, can be a little noisy at night if you leave your windows open too. Lovely though, would highly recommend. "
