"Latest I have been checking in at an airport as thanks to the absolutely fantastic early check in service at Jewel, my luggage was gone and my boarding passes was in hand. I simply strolled from the hotel to my gate and was ready to fly in 30 minutes (less if you decided to run). So in the convenience stakes, this hotel cannot be rated any higher. The staff were immaculate in their service and attitude with their eagerness to assist in every way. The rooms were spacious and superbly comfortable. The nice big bathtub offered a great soak before bedding down in the king bed. Even the TV that was directly facing the bed was just the perfect sized for watching from that distance. The windows, which offered a great view of SIA aircraft taking off (if you are into that sort of thing) must be brick thick as the room was whisper quiet. The use of the pool in the lush garden was thwarted by the rain which was most unfortunate. The only downside is that the breakfast buffet was just run on the mill for the price. There was limited local favourites and all the dishes were just ho hum with nothing memorable except for the pandan dumplings."

"A very upmarket hotel. The staff were very welcoming & friendly & so helpful with maps, tours & suggestions. The location was excellent. Buses & shops within walking distance. Highly recommend."

"Property Hotel n surrounding areas was beautiful. Staff were excellent n service was superb. The only thing missing was certain tv channels, eg., Fox News was not available and only all other democratic media channels was on. That’s not being fair to us since we should be able to watch any news and show and not to be politically biased. Thats the only reason n concern we have as not to stay with shangri la again. "

"Great hotel, best service, gym and pool area very clean. I think they should add some entertainment for children like ping pong tables in the pool area. Closer to main orchard road. Food and massage at the area is wonderful. Highly recommended "
