"Loved the location, it is just steps from the Royal Mile and lots of attractions. The Tolbooth Tavern nearby was a great find. The building itself is really good as well. There is are lot of stairs, but also a lot of space which was very good for our famiy stay. The building does need some updates (ie carpet on stairs looks dingy, and there are banged up walls in the stairway is likely from lots of travellers). "I will say that location wise it was excellent. It was about 300 feer walk from the Royal Mile. Tram from airport was great as a station was about 10 minute walk as was Waverly train station. So many tourist spots nearby but you do need.to be able to walk. Only problem with room was almost no area for putting clothes. No drawers just a table and pullout bed top. There was an area for hanging a few things up. Bed was very comfortable after long days of activities. Security seemed a top proiority...
