"Our second time staying here on our NZ trip and just as enjoyable as the first. Lovely jig, older style hotel with plenty of room. Nice breakout areas to have a read, look at the sights or have a quiet drink. Room was spacious, very comfortable and breakfast buffet included in accommodation. Good Al a carte menu or buffet for dinner. Another great place to stay and extremely friendly and helpful staff. "

"The lakes motel is probably our favorite place that we stayed during our whole trip! Everything is clean, the rooms have been redone... The bed was AMAZING and so was the shower, had we known we would have such a lovely stay, we would have booked a longer stay. The staff is just lovely and welcoming, offering tips and help, we felt great here.. We will definitely return! "

"This was a nice motel, rooms were clean and spacious enough for our needs (i.e., mostly sleeping, we were out exploring during the day). Owners are on site and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. An easy drive to Mt. Cook and walking distance to several restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!"
