"The hotel offered a free shuttle to the Golden Temple and bamboo forest. We loved both, but if you have only one day in Kyoto, skip both and go to the 1000 Tori Gates at Fushimi Inari instead. "What a well thought out hotel! Big rooms. Very stylish. Very comfortable. The complementary Japanese style pjs were a hit. Everything you forgot is available for free at the reception. Kyoto is a food desert for breakfast so it's not cheap but the hotel breakfast is the convenient option, otherwise it's the first restaurant in the alley to the right for set meals. It's in the heart of everything by noon when things open."
