"Great location, with several transit options very close and innumerable shops and restaurants within a few block radius. Room was great, with a sliding traditional door in place of blinds, plus blackout shades behind that. The sink is outside the bathroom which is a strange design choice but common in Japan. Extra toiletries are placed in the open in the lobby. Vending machines every few floors, although a FamilyMart is basically next door with more choices. My bags, which arrived via takkyubin, were awaiting me in the room when I arrived. I chose this over higher-end hotels because of its great location. I would choose this hotel again in the future."

"Excellent hotel on busy Kawaramachi street. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also excellent. Rooms are spacious (for Japanese hotels), modern, clean and have a nice decor. Even though Kawaramachi street is very busy, the rooms are very quiet. Hotel is nicely located with many Kyoto attractions within walking distance - Pontocho Alley is about 5 min away; Nishiki market also about 5 minutes away; Yasaka shrine is an easy 15-20 minute walk. Kawaramachi street itself has many nearby dining and eating options. "
