"We took a family room as we had a toddler and it was very handy to have interconnecting living and sleeping spaces. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good quality. The location means you can access the city centre easily via bus or metro. The (minor) issues that we felt were worth highlighting were the lack of room service menus, lack of fridge to store water/free bottles of water (albeit there is a paid for minibar) and also some slow service we had in the main bar in the lobby. "Opulent and beautiful but yes dated. Doorman was slightly rude upon my arrival as if I didn't belong at the Ritz or something. But the service was outstanding and everyone was kind. There was an old smell in the hallways and stains on the rug. We would stay at a newer establishment next time."

Some things were surprising though in a hotel of this quality - the curtains not being of sufficient quality to keep out any of the bright sunlight, the only way to turn on the fan was by climbing up on the bed, the tv remote not working. A bit disappointing in a hotel at this price point. "
