The property is well maintained and situated on a peninsula on a lake that is gorgeous even when completely frozen. As soon as we got through the door we could immediately relax. "The house is sprawling, plenty of first floor room, and a top level apartment was great for a family’s needing their own space. The rooms were comfortable and each had a lake view. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with little extras, and there was plenty of fridge storage with two refrigerators. The lake is set behind the house with a huge yard that accommodates many games. The dock and swimming area were tidy, and they had plenty of water boats (boards,kayaks,canoes) and life preservers....

"Excellent property for a family getaway. It is right by the river which makes it unique. Big enough to accommodate a bigger family or multi-family vacation. The cottage is within walking distance to the local grocery store and several eateries. Also perfectly distanced to other VT spots like Stowe or Burlington...which was about 1 hour driving to each.. Kids loved a day at the Pumphouse Waterpark which was 15 mins away. Overall, perfect location, amenities and environment to take in Vermont's...

"Close to Jay Peak & restaurants on Newport’s Main St but laid out awkwardly. Bathroom is huge but living room is cramped. I was a little worried that we would be cold since it didn’t look well insulated, but the heat was good & strong & it didn’t take long to warm up. Owner likes fish & angels, which dominate the decor. "We stayed here around Christmas time. We were skiing nearby. Location was great. With the snow the cabin was great for views. There were some issues with the internet/tv working for the first few days- but was addressed. There was a little issue with the shower downstairs leaking- we sent a video the first day but little could be done. Little issues "

"The guest house was perfect for my family and 2 dogs. Some kitchen supplies may need to be upgraded. Danny was great and quick in responding with a few issues we had. The property is seriously 3 minutes away. Will stay again"

"We stayed in this VRBO to ski in Jay Peak. It was a great size for my husband, two teen boys and I. Kitchen is well stocked and it was very warm and clean. My only issue was that I didn't realize there was a 5:00pm check in. (So pay attention.) and even with the 5:00 check in, we weren't able to get in until 5:15. The host felt really bad, but still inconvenient. One more thing, if you are sensitive to fragrance like we are, there are plug in air "fresheners" in every outlet. It was over...

"This unity was extremely clean and comfortable. We were there for my sons hockey tournament at Jay Peak and we received nearly a foot of snow during our visit. I contacted the property owner because my arm is broken and they promptly sent out a nice man to help shovel us out. There is also a shuttle that picks you up right outside and will take you around the area so we didn't have to drive in the snowy conditions. You can also walk right out onto the mountain and ski down to the ski lifts....

Great cabin for families

"We rented a 4 person cabin and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it included 2 separate small bedrooms plus a common area, which provided the privacy that our family needed. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and it was well stocked with towels, blankets, and toilet paper. The service was excellent as the manager checked in to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We stayed in the winter and I was glad that our cabin was heated. The cabin would be great for a family in the summer as there is an outdoor swimming pool, tether ball, tire swing, picnic tables and a barbecue. There is also a stream (Barton River) behind the swimming pool that would be fun for kids to play in on a hot day."

"My two sons and I stayed here on a recent visit to Jay Peak. Our room had a queen in one room and two twins in the other room. The room had a great living room and everything was just perfect. We were greeted at the door upon arrival and shown around the property and right up to the room. We then walked up the street to grab a dinner at the local pub. Breakfast was great. We felt this was a great fit for our trip and will be back. "
