"We enjoyed the Chateau Arenal very much. If I could add a 1/2 star I would do so. It has a beautiful view, the pool and hot tub are lovely, the food is good and interesting, the drinks are delicious and the people are all amazingly friendly, helpful and kind. My only slightly negative comment is the remote location. While we enjoyed ourselves and loved the view, it was quite a drive to get anywhere."

"It is an older era quaint property and if you can accept that you will enjoy! Our family played at the pool table one night and had so much fun! "Wonderful experience. The rooms are all along a steep hill and have great views. We were given Room 28 Premium King bed which is close to the top of the hill and the views were stunning. The hotel has a number of golf carts and someone can take you up there if you need help. The grounds are beautiful and there are trails behind the property which lead to the Aguti reserve to which the hotel provides free admission.
