"Monteverdi Country Lodge was very nice stop on our first trip to Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, and that alone made the stay 5 stars in my book. The room was clean and comfortable. My only small complaint were a slight lack of electrical sockets in our room. We made do, but given how dependent we all are on our devices, a few more would have been nice. Also, the location is set back from the main road, so the location would not really be considered walkable to anything but local restaurants. That being said we had a car for the daytime, and the lovely staff called us taxis in the evening, problem solved. The property itself is lovely for sitting outside for drinks or a meal, and again, the staff are top notch!"

"Amazing location with view on the lake, tenorio and mountains. Birds, but quiet. Cool pool and hot tub in perfect spot to enjoy the view. We liked the restaurant for breakfast and diner Rooms were large and cozy. Only issue was a water pipe break, but they offered another bungalow right away and it looked repaired the next day anyways."

"The view from our room (#11) was unbelievable. We had a full window wall that provided a jaw-dropping view of the volcano. Impressive!!! It was very convenient being adjacent to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. There are no restaurants at the Lodge but the neighboring hotel has a very nice restaurant which is just a very short drive down the hill. Breakfast, which is included, is also at this restaurant and is very good. The drive into LaFortuna is about 15-20 minutes or so. Highly recommend if you don't mind being outside of LaFortuna. "
