"A beautiful place run by a very nice, hospitable family. I think I was the only one there! Nice, clean and comfortable room, with a great shower. No AC, but the mornings and evenings let in a cool breeze, and the fan was sufficient. Great breakfast included in the morning. Would highly recommend. "

"The owner has built a wonderful walking trail on property up a hillside. The patio and dining area area in a serene setting. I especially likes relaxing out on the hammock listening to the bullfrogs. Breakfast is fantastic with eggs made to order and a delish fresh fruit juice. Internet is not the best in the rooms, but that is probably from the thick doors. "

"This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). Our kids miss Lucky and Domino and wanted to take the puppies home :-) I would definitely recommend!"

"We had a fabulous two days at Finca La Anita. Pablo and Ana were fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed learning from their knowledge of all things Costa Rican, especially the history and quality of chocolate and coffee. We stayed in cabin 8 which was comfortably rustic with a refrigerator. We found the temperature in mid Feb to be approx 10 degrees C cooler than the coast. "Villa el Tucan is a gem with impeccable service! Bijagua is a cute little village close to Rio Celeste with this new adorable lodge. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The cabins are cozy, clean, airy, and they even have screens on their windows and sliding glass door.
