"A friend and I and our sons (who are BFFs) booked this home as a little spring break getaway, to get our city kids out into nature. It was perfect. The area is beautiful, and the house is so charming. We spent time hiking in Giant City State Park and Shawnee, relaxing in the hot tub, and just enjoying our time together. "If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"

"My husband and I stayed with our dog at this property and had a wonderful time! We have been to the trail many times during peak season, but decided we wanted to do something a little more lowkey and bring our dog. We spent quite a bit of time in the house, reading, watching TV cooking, and all of the amenities that we needed were there. Communication with the property owner, Steve, was also very easy and he was very responsive.Would recommend this cozy home! "
