"This is a beautiful, contemporary cabin set at the end of a one lane gravel road at the top of a mountain. The views are wonderful. The cabin is very comfortable and the bed sleeps great! You have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It is very quiet and dark at night. I was able to photograph the Milky Way from the balcony of the cabin! If you want a quiet get away close to New River Gorge National Park, this is a great place to escape to."

"Started each day with a beautiful sunrise and ended with star filled skies. The property is quiet and peaceful. The deck was nice to sip our wine after hiking and exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Retreat. It was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable while away from home. "

"Seven of us stayed for two nights and enjoyed it! The place was well equipped and suited for ATV enthusiasts. We'll probably reserve it and go again in the future! "

"Our group of 5 adults really enjoyed our stay. Centrally located for the sites we wanted to see, restaurants, convenience store, gas, all right there. The 5th bedroom advertised only had a crib but we made due. 3 story house, plenty of stairs obviously, railings could use some tlc but that's about it. Property was spotless and comfortable; our group would definitely stay here again. "

"We spent four nights here while riding in early November 2024. The place is recently renovated, spacious, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication was excellent from booking to checkout. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we ride in this area. "

"House was just as listed. Plenty of space inside and outside. Lots of room for parking trucks/trailers. Great communication with host, he called a fees days before our trip and explained the best route and everything else we needed to know!"

"This is a great house to rent if you are looking to ride the Spearhead Pocahontas trail or the Pocahontas Hatfield-McCoy trail. The Spearhead trail is right across the road and the Pocahontas HM connector is about a 10-15 min ride away on pavement. The home itself was very clean & roomy and had everything we needed. "My family and I had a great stay. It was a very convenient location to the Pinnacle trail head. There was a gas station down the road and a few restaurants/bars within walking distance. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable, overall we had a great stay. Kevin was very responsive and answered all my questions within 24hrs. 🙂 Just some FYIs that are left out of the listing, but not deal breakers for some: -there is no access to the downstairs from the top floor, you have to go outside...
