"Martin Manor's description didn't do it justice. We six were overwhelmed with the character, peacefulness, and warmth of the home. Weather did not permit enjoying the paddle boats or pond, but we loved the grounds and found the house to more than meet our needs for a fellowship gathering of friends from five states. We enjoyed visiting with another friend in nearby Versailles, a bourbon tasting, and two wineries during our stay. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Martin Manor."

"Hubby & I really enjoyed this beautiful clean, modern home with super high ceilings and tons of natural light in the common areas as well as the master bedroom. The step down into Hot tub was amazing and we could see so many stars! We even enjoyed the fire pit and the solar lights were an added bonus. Both beds were comfortable and also loved the 3 heads in the huge showers. Loved the gas FP in the Living Room too! Highly recommend!"

"We had two families (4 adults and 4 youths) staying at Ben’s’ place. This was a great house for exploring Red River Gorge and the hikes in the area. The house was very clean and the pool was an added bonus for the kids when we came back from days activities. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms great and comfortable. For me the only minor downside was that the pictures don’t show it’s actually located along a relatively busy road which I could hear in the mornings from the bedroom BUT...

"The home is located in a small community with trees and winding roads. It is close enough to conveniences should you forget something. The home is large with plenty to do right in the house. We were also able to take a walk around the neighborhood and a hike in a park with a lake just a short drive away. The huge master shower is amazing! The pullout couches are a plus. Appreciated the startup of many essentials and availability of cleaning supplies to keep the house tidy during our stay....

"We chose the property because it looked clean in the pictures and has a hot tub -it was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub after hikes and a day of climbing. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable -my husband has back pain and kept saying he wished he could take it home with us. Overall, a great experience! "

"Lovely place for my husband and I for a getaway. The place was clean and well organized, they had everything we needed. They asked that you bring your own shampoo and toothpaste, I would recommend also bringing some cooking oil or butter and your own coffee. We got to watch the lunar eclipse, it was beautiful! My highlander had no problem getting around the terrain even after the rain. The hottub was amazing after a long hike! I would definitively visit again, highly recommend. "

"We love visiting the gorge in all seasons. Winter provide beauty in the icicles and snow covered landscape. This was the coldest we had experienced. The cabin walkway was snow and ice covered making it difficult to get gear into the house which we chose due to ease of access. The cabin was very clean and bed linens and towels were new. "Our family gathered at Colliver House for a weekend At Keeneland. Our plans were rained out but we still had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable with plenty of room for all. The farm is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed visiting the horses. The home is well stocked and the welcoming cookies were an extra special treat. Julia is an excellent host and offered ideas for rainy day excursions. Our whole family rank this as our favorite vacation rental. We all got much needed rest and...

"Rent this cabin if you want something secluded, but yes, other cabins in area. For evenings it has a huge covered deck with a swing, a glider, and lots of chairs and tables. AND a hot tub to relax aching muscles. Turned air conditioning to 70 & it cools house even if 80F outside, maybe bring a fan to move air upstairs. Fit 4 adults & toddler comfortably with plenty of hot water available for all."

"We stayed in a cottage. The cottage needs a lot of repairs. We had to climb 36 stairs in rainy conditions to reach our cabin. The complimentary breakfast was nice. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The walk to the restaurant from the cottages was outstanding and fun. Despite the state of disrepair to our cabin, we would still recommend this location as a must-do family adventure and destination."
