We did not realize that mosquitos are very bad during some of June and some of July every year. We visited the dunes and REALLY enjoyed our time there."

"We booked this home as it is posted as being in very close proximity to the Great Sand Dunes. While the VRBO posting indicates the home is 4 minutes from the park, it is actually over an hour drive. We did have a fantastic time. The property was beautiful and clean with the exception of fruit and house flies in the main living area. I would recommend it as a great get away relatively close to the national park but be sure to plan accordingly."

"We stayed 2 nights to go to The Great Sand Dunes and hike around the area. It’s about an hour drive to the main entrance of Great Sand Dunes. The home was very clean! We were very pleased with the inside, the kitchen was big and shad everything we needed and it had a nice grill as well! The only negative thing we have to say is that the mosquitos in the area are very bad this time of year! They swarmed us right when we got out of the car but the locals said they were even worse the week before...

"We were tired after a long travel day, entered the home to discover the home smells of dog urine and the kitchen having mouse poop on the counter, Also discovered mouse poop by the sliding glass door and fireplace. I wouldn’t return to this home. "

"We came to hike and visit the sand dunes but the weather didn’t cooperate so we spent a lot of time at the property soaking in the hot tub, relaxing, and just enjoying life. Everything we needed was there, plus extras. Great place in an interesting area. "

"A large group of my family with multiple children stayed here for my son’s birthday trip to the Dunes. There was plenty of room for everyone. The surrounding property is lovely to go for a walk and explore. Lots of games and activities to keep the kids happy-they even helped feed the cows which they loved! A fairly close drive to the dunes (under 30 minutes). The host lives on the property next door and was incredibly helpful and responsive. "

Mountain views from every window, showers and giant soaking tubs in both bathrooms in the main house, and 2 additional bedrooms plus a full bathroom in the adjacent studio. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax. The property manager was great to work with and very prompt when I did something stupid and needed her help. "Immaculate, gorgeous, spacious, comfortable, beautiful home you can’t believe you found and you never want to leave! There are no words for how jaw dropping and amazing the property is.
