"We had an unforgettable stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul during our first trip to Turkey with my parents (both in their 70s). The pool and gym were spotless and serene, and the in-house jewelry store was a hidden gem — we left with five beautifully crafted pieces thanks to the knowledgeable owner. The highlight? "We only stayed there one night but staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but nice. Not an ideal area for checking out the historical part of istabul but we had an overnight layover so we didn't need to be in the heart of Istanbul. Staff did push us hard to use one of their taxis but we were able to get a taxi to the airport for only 1000 liras. "
