"Very good all rounder. Food was not as good for early week and better later in the week for dinner. The doors to the balcony rattle at night, keeping people awake. The staff are great though, very likeable. Good gym but a bit far from the main hotel. Overall, really enjoyed my stay with the beautiful views, old style music and overall great atmosphere. "

"This is a superb hotel in a lovely neighborhood. We were half board and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also excellent but what made the restaurant so good is the staff and the manager Jose. The pool area is beautifully kept and there are plenty of sun loungers. The team at reception are lovely people and the staff who cleaned our room were extremely professional. "Glorious vista of the mountain and ocean from the grounds. Quite a way up the hill, so really need transport for access. Close to footpaths up to the mountain or beach access on the north coast. A place for peace and quiet and to avoid the hype."

Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden

Fabulous Luxury Hotel

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Botánico Hotel & The Oriental Spa Garden and had the most amazing experience. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were absolutely amazing the entire time. When we arrived, the front desk staff were very helpful and Antonio (I believe was his name) showed us to our room. Once in the room, he explained several things about the room which was a great way to familiarize ourselves with the space we would call home for the next few days. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional our entire stay. We were able to call and easily get an iron, taxi etc. The attention to detail in the room was superb. We especially enjoyed the pillow menu options and turn down service. The breakfast was outstanding and a lovely way to start the day. We utilized the spa area with a couples massage and played tennis. I love fresh flowers and the fresh rose in the bathroom was a wonderful touch. We dined at The Oriental and II Pappagallo which were both delicious. The live music each night was a fun treat for a wind down at the end of the evening. Hotel Botanico is a true Luxury Hotel and I thank the entire staff for making our trip to Tenerife so wonderful."

Disappointing despite stunning view from terrace

"The layout of the property over 2 shared floors negated the benefits of the “large terrace with stunning sea views”. As there were only 2 of us, we were able to locate on the upper floor, losing the advantages of the main bedroom. We recognise that a few of our issues might have been addressed if we had contacted the agents. However we were so dispirited by the general offering that we could not be bothered, rather we dug in for the long haul and just got on with it. We also understand the adage that you get what you pay for – however that does not remove the need for value for money – and this was not that. A detailed review has been forwarded to the agents for the owner – we cannot recommend this property and it is certainly not value for money."

House with private pool, sea and mountain views, wifi and fireplace - near Puerto

Great house and a great location

"2 couples from Canada, stayed for a month. This was the perfect place for us. Outside Puerto de la Cruz however within walking distance. Local district had many places to eat and drink. Discount grocery was a short walk, butcher and fruit shops close by. Bus stop out front was nice for getting around. Solid charming working kitchen. Would love to return some day."

"Perfect location for lots of hiking and running routes. The hotel is clean and has great facilities, pool, gym and onsite laundry for a few euros. Parking is hard to come by although there are places to park on the street, it is pretty busy and we ended up with a scuff on the hire car on the first morning return to the car where someone had obviously tried to park behind us but failed! Food was good but the options are LIMITED! Usually only 2 mains each night one veggie, one not."
