"Important: This hotel is now called the Tagara. It is tough to find things in Ecuador and having the wrong name on the signs does not help. This locale is beautiful, the pool gorgeous, and the staff, especially the general manager, Bernard, are wonderful. But this is more of a corporate retreat in style. However, a great escape from Quito or a great place to spend a night when making the drive from the coast to Quito. For Westerners I think the nightly stay with included meals is a fair price....

"This is a beautiful property just outside of the main town of Mindo on a dirt road. It’s very quiet and you will hear the sound of birds and frogs. We saw quite a few different birds just sitting on the porch outside our unit. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds and dining area are beautiful. The included breakfast is good and it’s nice to have the option to have dinner on property if you don’t feel like going out. Wonderful stay in Mindo. "

Many bird varieties are seen from the veranda, and there are other fauna on the 320 hectare reserve."

"We had such a special experience at Séptimo Paraíso. Nancy greeted us upon arrival and really made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay.The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. We loved the beautiful pops of color scattered throughout the property. We had the best time exploring and swimming in the covered and heated pool! We were also really impressed with all the homemade food and stayed the coolest suite all thanks to Nancy. She was so sweet and nice! This is an experience I...
