"For a new hotel it’s somewhat run down. Look such nicer in the photos. The lobby area is not great. Rooms are a good size for nyc. Bathroom has no door so not very private! Food at the hotel is hit or miss as well as being over priced. Location is ok overall would not stay here again. "

"The service at the café and room service was terrible. In both cases, they brought us our coffee and we had to wait for cream. Room Service they forgot the maple syrup. A Second set of utensils and we had to wait for cream until the coffee was warm. The room was showing signs of wear and the tile in the shower could’ve used a cleaner. The chairs in the café were so worn out they were uncomfortable to sit in."

"Everyone was kind and professional and friendly - complementary water was very welcome after a long flight in, the bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! The area felt very safe and (bonus for me) right across from the village voice building!! Delicious and budget friendly meals nearby, easy access to subway … I’ve read that some folks had noise problems, and you are definitely in the city so there is some to be expected but the hotel thoughtfully provides ear plugs in the amenity kit. "Front desk: Sean helped us out with early check in. He was kind and personable. Made it very easy and convenient at 6:00 after a red eye! "
