"The lodge was perfect for 2 couples and a great base for walking in the Peak District. The lodge its self was clean and cosy and had the bonus of the hot tub to sooth achy limbs! Check in was very simple and secure & communication with the manager was fantastic and very prompt. There is a great pub 15 mins walk from the lodge The Plough Inn, which server great food , I would recommend booking to eat there as it was very busy. "Ive stayed at thia property a number of times over the last 5 years or so - mainly because it is so central, yet reasonably priced. However,i have really noticed massive upgrades in the way the hotel has been managed in my last two stays, and improvements in the general standards of decor etc - though it remains affordale and good value for money. "
