"Used this home as a base for a weekend in the Peak District, with 5 other couples. The building is stunning, kitchen is well stocked with appliances and other items. 2 fridge/freezers which were handy. Lots of spaces to relax and the hot tub was fantastic. WiFi is poor in wider areas of the house but excellent within the room of the house the modem is in. However, this is expected in a building of this size and didn’t ruin the weekend at all. "We throughly enjoyed our stay , we had good communication with the owners and the cottage was very clean and spacious. Parking was never a problem and it is in a quiet area but very handy for Chester which is a lovey town .The hot tub was great and was used every day . "

"We travelled from Canada, three sisters and two of our daughters, and wanted to enjoy an authentic English accommodation. We found everything we needed with the unique and luxurious Douglas Cottage. Plenty of space for all five of us, with 3 bedrooms (a total of 4 beds that you melted into, my daughter and I shared the queen bed in the master bedroom ) and 3 bathrooms, it was the perfect fit for us and turned out to be less expensive than 3 hotel rooms.
