The desk staff are always very polite and helpful but breakfast staff seem miserable, stressed and overwhelmed.
Upon checking in we asked if there were any available upgrades or late checkouts options and we were told no as the hotel was completely booked for the weekend, but we were offered some drinks vouchers.
When we got to our room we noticed we had a twin room rather than a double.. this stay was for our 5th anniversary.
Our room thermostat was broken and wouldn't work so our room was uncomfortably hot for the first night.. when we told the night staff on the Saturday night they remotely fixed it and told us it was been completely shut off, but should now work, which it did overnight but by the morning had switched off again and our room was so hot I almost passed out.
Our bathroom shower looked a bit grubby around the base unit.
Breakfast is always lovely and the hotel always smells wonderful.
Overall we love the Leonardo and will continue to visit but just a few details occasionally let it down.
