"My partner and I came to visit Alnwick for her birthday, and after a previous stay at a Premier Inn, we decided we wanted something with more character. The Hog’s Head Inn is a really lovely hotel, and considering it broke ground in 2011, has a feeling of being built in the 1800s, with the wood and stone decor in the main bar area. "Stayed at the corner house as my daughter was back in hospital having heart surgery and i just want to say a massive thank you to Gemma who checked me in, your empathy and kindness truely shown during this awful time for me and my family. Honestly made a traumatic time less stressful and i can not thank you enough, wish more people were as kind and considerate as you, you are a credit to the corner house! The double room was also very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious too....

"We booked this pub/hotel for a two night stay due to going to a wedding at Hallington Mill a venue approximately 15mins drive away. Arriving on a Friday afternoon we received a lovely friendly welcome and had a evening meal on our first night. We stayed in room 7 a fantastic large bathroom which look brand new. Our room was unexpectedly warm for the time of year, despite radiators being turned-down but there was already a good fan in the room to counter this. I have marked you down 1 star on Communications as I could find the information regarding check out time on the last day and it was hard to find it online, it said 11am in one place and 12 noon another. I had to go to the Holiday Inn checkout next door and ask them in person. "
