"Stayed at the corner house as my daughter was back in hospital having heart surgery and i just want to say a massive thank you to Gemma who checked me in, your empathy and kindness truely shown during this awful time for me and my family. Honestly made a traumatic time less stressful and i can not thank you enough, wish more people were as kind and considerate as you, you are a credit to the corner house! The double room was also very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious too....

"Enjoyed a pleasant short stay here as a family. Service in the pub/restaurant/breakfast was prompt and friendly and food was good quality and value. Our room was unexpectedly warm for the time of year, despite radiators being turned-down but there was already a good fan in the room to counter this. We had no issues with noise despite being above the pub. "

"Great choice for an Autumn stay. Warm, comfortable,friendly and hospitable. Great bar, resteraunt choices and breakfast options. No need to go out when you can relax here. Close to A1, yet country quiet on the riverside. "

"Hotel was closed but still on the web site taking bookings ! No notice given had to drive 22 mile to get a hotel ! Disgraceful !"

"The room was lovely, clean and spacious. We enjoyed a well cooked evening meal as well as the English breakfast in the morning. We will certainly think about returning for another visit."
