"Didn’t like the fact that drinks were paid for via app or card payment only Also the sky lounge should definitely be adults only-we visited twice and it was like a children’s playground it put us off visiting again"

"A really nice hotel- good food and services and only minor issues - Pool area very busy but despite notices about towels being removed from sunbeds if they were unattended for more than 30mins this didn’t happen -however ball playing in the pool was stopped even if pool was pretty much empty. Maybe some of the policies could be reviewed"

"A nice, clean hotel with good entertainment and in a central location. Unfortunately, it is let down by a dreadful restaurant and being too near to the Veronicas strip with all of its drug dealing, prostitution and excessive noise late in to the evenings."

"An excellent hotel, really smart and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful, every one of them. The food was fabulous every day with good variety. The location on the SW of the island is perfect for watching a lovely sunset over La Gomera each evening. €40 taxi to/from the airport takes under 30 minutes."

"The hotel is superb throughout, immaculately clean. Certain areas are a bit dated but the hotel is stunning through out especially the main dining areas. Location excellent, staff are brilliance and you are well looked after. "

"The rooms were big, we had a sea view and a roof terrace. Maintenance was being done and the property is well presented. We got an upgrade from a single room studio with three beds, to a three bed apartment for no particular reason, which was fabulous! "

"Beautiful hotel with nice and spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff members. Perfectly located with lots of restaurants and, supermarkets and just a short walk from the Beach strip. Loved my stay here."

"Unlike the hotels in the area, the Gran Tacande seems to have more open space around the pool area, not shaded by palm trees like the other properties. Easy access to the shopping and dining. Different sections of the hotel are built in slightly different "colonial" style. Giving it less the "large corporate hotel" feel. More like staying at a private VIP town square. "

"When we arrived we were really impressed with Lobby and pool area - it’s a beautiful hotel. Check in had quite a big Q - not sure why they haven’t introduced on line check in as that would have made the process quicker. Rooms are a little dated but very clean with plenty of storage. No water in the room and we didn’t see any water filling stations - which is disappointing for what we paid. There’s loads of sun loungers and a lovely heated pool - we had to pay a deposit of 40 euro for pool...

"Staff in the restaurants are great and work very hard!"

"We stayed 6 nights in mid June. The food was ok for breakfast and dinner. The room was clean. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. Every night from 7pm to 9pm, they had two shows. The location was convenient to beach, Siam Park and bus station."

"Nothing was too much for this resort!! So helpful and accommodating, we absolutely loved our stay. "

"A nice place, quite an uphill walk but 5 minutes in a taxi. Some apartments in need of an upgrade but nothing too serious. Snack bar and rooftop bar were both very good but disappointed in food in on site restaurant. Good value for money and would return"

"Brilliant stay at the hard rock hotel. 3 pools to choose from, manage to get a lounger no problem. Breakfast was brilliant and you could get a mimosa as you came in to breakfast which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the singers that were on in the evenings, particularly the Queen tribute band. This hotel is a bit further out but we got a taxi for about 22 euros into las americas one night. Check out staff were helpful and stored our luggage and let us keep the towel card until we were leaving. On check in they tried to charge us but we had already paid on Expedia, the manager sorted this and said it was an error on their systems, worth having your booking confirmation handy in case of any issues. We loved our stay! "

"Great hotel, two night stay before moving into a fabulous apartment. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, alloed us to stay in the hotel room until the apartment was ready. Lovely restaurant and pool bar, again the staff wete great."

"Despite the large size of the property, the grounds were clean and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our room (489) was excellent and we would request it in the future. Dining was everything promised. The seafood was excellent. Sea salt-encrusted sea bass is a MUST! We had a minor issue that one of the property managers, Manuel more than addressed. He promptly corrected the matter and extended a beautiful, private seating with the sunset in the background with champagne and rose pedals all around us. Great property and great location. We will be coming back to Ritz, Abama. "
