"This guesthouse is absolutely lovely. Conveniently located, comfortable, and has a really helpful and friendly staff. Would absolutely stay again. My only criticism is that it was difficult to communicate with them prior to our check in (we had some changed travel plans). They don't seem to check their email (or answer their phone?). Having said that, they were very kind about our early arrival when we did arrive and everything worked out. "

"I like that I get to experience a nice Kyoto neighborhood. The service could be improved. I felt like the staffs were not friendly every time I said hi. They also turn off the AC in the middle of the might and even if it runs, it’s usually very light so I try to turn on the fan at the same time to avoid sweating. However, it’s hard to sleep due to the fan noises. "

"I stayed at Suzuki Guesthouse for three nights while visiting Kyoto. The staff is kind and help you as much as possible for any demand! There are a few nearby activities that will liven up your experience, and it's easy to get anywhere in Kyoto from Suzuki Guesthouse. Beds are very comfortable. Living room is welcoming. I will stay here again next time. Thank you for everything!"

"A small and attractive hostel. A relaxed place to be. Excellent location. Did need to ask for a second futon as the futon is so thin. Sliding doors to rooms are paper thin so voices can be heard, but was not an issue. To stay in such a wonderful part of Arashiyama, right next to the bridge and monkey park, temple and high street, it is fantastic value for money."

"Our group of 3 loved the clean, spacious rooms and proximity to the Monkey Park and Bamboo forest. The extra space felt like a luxury after many smaller (but more expensive) hotel rooms. The Beautiful pizza restaurant a 5 minute walk from the hotel blew us away. If you like desserts, there are so many places to choose from just a short walk away. The staff were kind and accommodating of us!"
