3/5 Okay
"I booked via expedia. My issues with this place are with EXPEDIA.
Foreign Tourists please read: The listing did not clearly state that the room did not come with a bathroom OR that there was no shower in the building. Each floor has 1 male and 1 female washroom. The female washroom has 2 toilet stalls. There is no shower in the building. To bathe you must go next door and use the Amanohashidate Hotel's onsen. This onsen is amazing but it's inconvenient to have to go outside of your hotel to bathe.
There is zero soundproofing in the room. You can hear and easily get disturbed by those opening their doors and walking/talking in the hallway. Each night I had to sleep using my noise cancelling headphones.
There is no elevator. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs.
Access to Amanohashidate Hotel onsen was my favourite part of this trip. Overall the room and washroom were clean, and staff were kind, and they provided regular extra towels. But book only if your comfortable with the dorm/capsule style sharing of bathrooms and bring ear plugs"
