As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "When travelling with my elderly mother who has a mobility aid, it is often difficult to find a place as comfortable as this. Everything is on one level (no steps), a walk-in shower with a shower chair, and it was warm and cosy when the weather became cold. There were gifts for us on arrival as well! Biscuits, wine... what a treat! "

"The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . "Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"
