"The house is clean in the main areas that you need i.e. clean sheets and towels. However, it needs a good deep clean between the gaps of the couch, 'stuff' under the foot stool when moved, mold near the hand basin, bubbling above shower, dishes/cutlery needing a good wash. A fan in summer would have been helpful and had to chase the host for check-in details. Photos are better than what is actually is and could do with some maintenance and tlc."

Our host informed us of the problem per e-mail at about 7PM but we were unaware of that message as we were driving. "There was a problem with a first room during first night in block 90. All night people were walking, yelling,floors were squicking, then at 3 am someone began dropping dumbbells on the floor ... But fortunately the hotel reception person switched us over to block 94 to the top floor and it was quiet and nice ,better shower room . "Great hotel in a good location. A little slow to get served at the front desk as there was only one member of staff on, but they were helpful. Breakfast - go for the cold options because the cooked was rather stale."

"Absolutely lovely, rooms were comfortable and had lots of space. Reception was warm and friendly on arrival. Loved the decor in the bar area. Breakfast was great lots of choice and staff were great. Great location, everything was walkable close to town and the University. Parking was easy and opposite the hotel . Lots to do and see. Would definitely stay again. Thank you "

"I often stay at The Vermont and have always had a good experience. On this occassion, Daniel (don't think iv seen him before) at Reception was amazing. We had a very early start and were tired from our journey. Daniel swifty took care of our bags and bought us some coffee. Helped us with suggestions for Brunch places. Overall, Daniel was very kind, helpful and has amazing front of house presence. "
